Central India being non-coastal in nature receives
moderate to light rainfall as compared to the southern areas of the
country. This makes it doubly necessary to conserve water wherever
possible. Aakriti Eco-City has elaborate rainwater harvesting systems
keeping in mind the vagaries of the monsoon. This means that the
township as a whole will enjoy a 365-day water supply even in cases
where the overall rainfall scenario is bleak. Clean
Vicinities And A Clean Environment. The importance of
having clean, healthy surroundings can never be over-emphasized.
Unhealthy surroundings which include open garbage ‘corners’ or garbage
disposed off in a haphazard manner are among the chief causes of

will have a special water treatment plant where all water will be
treated and converted into its purest form, to be used by the township's

Landscaping. Landscaping at Aakriti Eco-City has been
done after careful thought. In keeping with the basic idea of an
eco-city, it has been done to please both, the dweller and the
environmentalist. For example, to allow water percolation into the soil,
front open spaces will not be hard paved. This will ensure that water
resources at the township will not be wasted and will add to the
water-beneath-the-ground. Landscaping at the township has been done in
such a manner that every house will either have beautiful lawns, trees
or shrubs in the front. This means that every time doors are opened,
they will be opened to pleasant settings. According to experts this will
be a key element in eliminating stress levels of residents living here.
Apart from the beauty aspect of having trees all around, the presence of
trees will also help in reducing temperatures which will prove to be a
boon especially during the scorching summers that one experiences in
this part of India. During this period it will even be possible, in fact

shade provided by the trees. Every shrub and tree in this township will
